Am I just supposed to stay here and deal with this? With He's a Porn Addict...Now What? An Expert and a Former Addict Answer Your Questions, you'll get pertinent answers from both sides of the equation: from a therapist and from a former pornography addict.

Tony initially followed a call to become a therapist in order to help men become better husbands and fathers. What he quickly realized is that not a lot of men naturally gravitate to therapy, so he found himself primarily working with men who were either at the lowest of low, or who were often in danger of losing their marriages, jobs, or families due to addictions, primarily pornography or compulsive sexual behavior. What he learned in working with over 1,000 individuals struggling with pornography or compulsive sexual behavior was that their "acting out" was more of a coping mechanism for a "void" in their life. He discovered that they typically were feeling a disconnect in one or many areas of their lives including marriage, parenting, health, career, and faith. This discovery led Tony to create The Path Back, an online non-denominational, faith-based pornography addiction and compulsive sexual behavior program that is helping people reclaim the lives that they always dreamed of living. You can find his online program at http://pathbackrecovery.com Tony has a very successful private practice in Northern California where he works with couples and individuals in a very strength-based approach that focuses on embracing vulnerability, learning the importance of authenticity, and building tools that lead to resiliency at the individual and martial level. Tony also has a thriving business coaching practice where he has the opportunity to work with CEOs, politicians, professional athletes, and anyone who is interested in the crossroads of where coaching and therapy converge. You can learn more about his practice at http://tonyoverbay.com In his spare time, Tony is an avid runner, having completed over 150 marathons and ultra-marathons, including a dozen races of 100 miles or more. Tony organized a community event while his kids were in middle school where he ran 24 hours around a school track to raise money for schools. During the 6-year event, he covered distances from 112 to 125 miles in the 24 hour
