Mary Lea Carroll

Before raising children, Mary Lea Carroll worked in travel, theater, and in Hollywood. When her children were young, she taught children's creative writing just around her kitchen table and helped her husband in his motion-picture advertising business. Mary Lea is a contributor to the book Hometown Pasadena and a graduate of San Francisco State University. In recent years she has embarked on storytelling and is a lifelong resident of Pasadena, California. Her special interests are spirituality, comedy, adventure, rose-gardening, and family life. She enjoys the company of those who march to the beat of a different drum.Mary Lea has been married to Bill Carroll for 32 years, and they have three daughters and one son-in-law.Providing whimsical pen-and-ink illustrations for Saint Everywhere is Joe Rohde, executive designer and vice president of Walt Disney Imagineering.
