Bill Esparza learned about Mexican food in his grandmother's kitchen, and went on to discover the flavors of Latin America on the road as a professional saxophone player. Esparza is the "go-to" authority on Latin American food and culture in the USA and is highly sought after as a writer, food TV personality, consultant and event curator. In 2016, Esparza won a James Beard award for LA Magazine's "Taco City" issue and in his first book, LA Mexicano on Prospect Park Books, he brings the people, places and recipes that make LA the greatest Mexican food city in America to center stage.
