About the Author

Michele Olivier

Michele Olivier is the creator of the popular blog Baby FoodE where she posts adventurous recipes ranging from babies first purees to equally memorable (but perhaps less enjoyable) sit-down family dinners with feisty toddlers, all delivered with a side of wit, a cocktail pairing or a hard lesson learned in parenting. Michele began her baby food making shortly after her first baby girl, Elliette, was born where she bought and tried several different brands of pre-made baby food. None of them resulting in any culinary delight. So she got to work in the kitchen and made over 800 ounces of flavorful purees such as apples with cinnamon, sweet potatoes with rosemary and carrots with nutmeg. Much to her delight, baby Ellie devoured them all, as well as her husband and herself. Thus began a truly life-changing experience for her. More then a hobby, it became her mission (aka obsession) and something she realized she would share with other parents who hope to raise children on the full flavors of fresh foods. Michele lives with her husband and daughters Elliette and Parker, where they like to bike to local breweries, build vertical gardens in their tiny urban backyard and enjoy year round outdoor activities in the sunny state of Colorado.
