After last semester ended in catastrophe, Arcane Acre opens for its second year. Returning students are joined by some new faces: Lance du Lac, the mysterious prodigy from Wonderland; Mary Medina, a young woman who can control the dead; and Wiglaf, a little lion man with a lot of heart. As these newbies get accustomed to the school, the looming threat that emerged from beneath the school months ago draws closer to the students ... and it's only a matter of time before tragedy will strike again.
