The Earth lies in ruins in the aftermath of an extraterrestrial invasion, the land devastated by a desperate war with no winners between mankind and a race of vicious, intelligent creatures. The seas are drying up while the atmosphere corrodes and slowly cooks any life remaining on the now desolate rock. Food is scarce, trust even more so, and the only people left alive all have done horrific things to stay that way.Among the few survivors is Lucas, an ordinary man hardened by the last few years after the world's end. He's fought off bandits, murderers, and stranded creatures on his long trek across the country in search of his family, the one thing that drives him to outlive his dying planet. About the Author
After years of consuming science fiction through a steady diet of books, movies, TV shows, and video games, Paul Tassi eventually decided to write his own stories in the genre. He didn't imagine he'd ever actually finish a single book, but now that he's started writing, he doesn't want to stop.
So far, Paul has completed The Earthborn Trilogy, a sci-fi series about a ruined Earth, and how humanity survives in the stars thereafter.
Paul lives in Illinois with his beautiful and supportive wife. He writes for Forbes and his work also appears on IGN, The Daily Dot, Unreality Magazine, TVOvermind and more. It's a slow day if he's written less than 10,000 words.
