About the Author

Linda Dahl

I've written about Latin America (novel, short stories collection) women in jazz (3 books) and addiction, from start to finish, as it were (3 books) . "Gringa in a Strange Land" was given the "most creative book of the year" award by a consortium of editors called Writers in the Sky, "Morning Glory," a biography of Mary Lou Williams was a N.Y. Times Notable Book of the Year. All very nice, though I never seek out awards 'cause I'm busy writing. My latest book is "Loving Our Addicted Daughters Back to Life," the book I wish I'd had when I was trying to find the most effective help for my then-teenaged daughter (now well and very creative in her own right) , is my latest. I hope you'll check it out, especially if you have kids. Even boys. There's lots in it to help them too.
