Deborah Shouse is a writer, speaker, editor and creativity catalyst. Her writing has appeared in The Washington Post, The Christian Science Monitor, Reader's Digest, Newsweek, Woman's Day, Hemispheres, Family Circle, Spirituality & Health, The Chicago Tribune and Unity. Deborah has been featured in many anthologies, including more than four dozen Chicken Soup books. Deborah also writes a weekly column on love for the Kansas City Star.

Deborah has written a variety of business books, including co-authoring Entrepreneurs Mentors = SUCCESS, with Barnett Helzberg and Yes You Can! Live in Financial Harmony, which was awarded a silver medal in the Independent Publisher's Book awards. Other books include the following titles: Antiquing for Dummies, co-author; Yes You Can! Afford to Raise a Family, featured author; Yes You Can! Raise Financially Aware Children, co-author and Making Your Message Memorable: Communicating through Stories, co-author.

Deborah wrote a series of books for Skillpath that includes Breaking the Ice, Nametags Plus, Communicating with Difficult People, and Marketing Yourself at Work. Her additional Skillpath titles include

A Woman's Guide to Managing Conflict: How to Communicate Effectively With People; and How to Communicate Diplomatically and Professionally.

Deborah has also written several memoirs, including Still Following Her Star and The St. Joe Kid. She has edited a number of books, including Tom Bloch's Many Happy Returns: the Story of Henry Bloch.

Deborah raised more than $80,000 for Alzheimer's research and programs by donating all proceeds from her initially self-published book, Love in the Land of Dementia: Finding Hope in the Caregiver's Journey, to those causes. Now Central Recovery Press is publishing an updated version, which is coming out in November 2013. She will donate a portion of the books proceeds to Alzheimer's causes.

Deborah and her partner Ron Zoglin have orchestrated personal storytelling and creativity workshops for organizations such as Hallmark, United Way, Americare, International Association of Administrative Professionals, Quintiles, and the Kauffman Foundation.

Deborah and Ron have also performed her writings for Alzheimer's Associations and caregivers groups in the United States, New Zealand, Nova Scotia, Puerto Rico, England, Ireland, Chile, Costa Rica, Italy, Turkey and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
