About the Author
Ana Maria lives and writes in a remote community in the North Cascades accessible only by boat, foot, or float plane. She is the author, most recently, of THE LUCKIEST SCAR ON EARTH, a novel about a 14 year old girl snowboarder and her activist father. Her five previous books explore wild places, small communities, civil rights, reclaiming, as well as useful survival skills including storytelling, laughing, and sleeping.
