About the Author
Mike is an award winning picture book writer with eight titles selected as 'Notable Books' by the Children's Book Council of Australia. Other awards include: Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year, Muddled-up Farm, 2004; CBCA Honour Book, Cat, 2008; Speech Pathology and Crichton Award shortlistings, Meet Douglas Mawson, 2015.
Mike has also written many junior novels and educational books, and is currently an Ambassador for Raising Literacy Australia. After working as a literacy consultant in New York, he has now returned to Australia and is dedicating more time to his writing. He has recently signed contracts for several new books.
