Gordon Cope

Born in Hamilton, Ontario, in 1955, Gordon Cope attended the University of Waterloo, graduating with a B.Sc. in Earth Science in 1978. He came to Calgary that same year to work in the oil patch, but his love for writing led him to freelance journalism and a career as a feature writer and business reporter. In 1993, Cope and his wife, Linda, quit their jobs, sold their house, and ran away to the South Pacific. Since then, they have lived in London and Paris and traveled around the world. They currently live in Manzanillo, Mexico.
