Nicky Scott

Nicky Scott - born 1954 educated at Dartington Hall school Devon UK. First job working with the legendary Dick Kitto making compost. Studied sculpture at St Martins London followed by organic gardening at the Henry Doubleday Research Association Essex. parallel career as a musician with 'Tickled Pink' and 'Scotwotittakes' also performer and writer with the 'Legumes' theatre company. Taught art at Sands democratic school Ashburton Devon UK. Became founder member of Proper Job Chagford Devon and then co-ordinator of the Devon Community Composting Network, employed by the local authorities in Devon, and for a time chair of the National Community Composting Network. Now free lance as 'Dr Compost', chair of Proper Job and also Growing Devon Schools.
