About the Author

Di van Niekerk

Di began with needle crafts at a very young age and she is fascinated by colour and texture. She started teaching in the early eighties, and when there were too many students on the waiting list, she began to design kits with instructions so that needle crafters could teach themselves how to stitch.

She has taught patchwork, appliqué, candlewicking, quilting, ribbon embroidery and stumpwork and has written nine best-selling books which have been translated into several languages.
