About this item

Wouldn't it be wonderful to be the moon "I wish I were the moon," says the speaker in this timeless bedtime story, "so that I could shine on you." The moon shines to guide a journey home, glistens beautifully on icy snow, and wishes peace and safety for travelers, friends and troubled hearts. Milan Pavlovi's dreamy watercolor illustrations complement this sweet story from Patricia and Guy Storms. Children and the adults who read to them will be delighted as moon wishes reach over icebergs, into towns, through forests and under the sea.

About the Author

Patricia Storms

Patricia Storms was 12 years old when her first cartoon was published in a Toronto newspaper. She got paid five dollars for that cartoon, and has been inspired to draw fun and silly pictures ever since. It was while growing up in Burlington, Ontario, that Patricia honed her cartooning skills, drawing pictures of teachers and friends in all her classes. Her teachers often encouraged her to move beyond cartoons into more respected forms of art. She figures that as soon as she finds a more respected form of art, she'll definitely drop the cartooning. As well as being an award-winning cartoonist, Patricia is also an author and illustrator of children's books and humour books. Her cartoons have been published in Reader's Digest, the National Post, The London Times, the London Evening Standard and The Chronicle of Higher Education. Patricia has also worked as a library technician, a book binder, a desktop publisher and a graphic designer, but her favourite job is creating books for children. Patricia lives and creates in Toronto, Canada, with her husband and two fat cats in a cozy old house full to the brim with books. To see more of her work, visit www.patriciastorms.com
