About the Author

Joanna McMillan

Joanna McMillan grew up in Scotland where she completed a BSc(hons1) in Nutrition and Dietetics. She emigrated to Australia in 1999 and was awarded her PhD in nutrition science from the University of Sydney. She is a fellow of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine and an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at La Trobe University. Joanna has become one of Australia's favourite and most trusted nutritionists, having honed a skill in translating often complex and confusing science into clear, evidence-based advice we can all follow. She is a regular on TV, radio/podcasts and in print, a TEDx and International keynote speaker and author of several books. Joanna lives in Sydney with her husband, two teenage boys and their labradoodle Spartacus.
