Emilia Bernhard (1968-) was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since hen, she's lived in Iowa City, Iowa, Fayetteville, Arkansas, London, Cambridge and Bristol. She likes to move. She currently lives and works in Exeter, Devon, where she has two cats and a cozy little flat. Death in Paris is her first novel, and it's the first in the "Death in Paris" series, which will feature amateur ex-pat detectives Rachel Levis and Magda Stevens. The second in the series will be published in October 2019.
