Readers will enjoy a range of inspiring and feel-good tales -- plus over 150 unique, personality-filled portraits -- that show the way dogs enrich the lives of people young and old, teach humans how to slow down and live life, show humans how to have fun, protect their people from danger, and serve as our lifetime companions in this journey we call life. There's also plenty of information about getting started in making a difference in homeless dogs' lives -- and choosing the right dog for you.

About the Author

Margaret Bryant

Margaret Bryant is an award winning photographer who specializes in photographing dogs and their people. Her style is simple, original and authentic and often shows the humor and whimsy of dogs. Starting her business in 1998, Margaret has specialized in dogs and their humans from the very start. Margaret is knowledgeable about dog breeds, dog behavior, dog training and dog sports. Professional development is important to Margaret and she has earned her Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman degrees from the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) . She is also a Certified Professional Photographer with PPA. Margaret is probably more well known for speaking and teaching, than writing. She readily shares her insights and secrets about dog behavior and dog handling for photography when she speaks and teaches. Acting goofy and getting people to laugh is all part of Margaret's teaching style. She gives back to animal community by creating the annual Weimaraner Rescue of Texas calendar, and raising cash for local spay neuter clinics with her Bow WOW Sessions.
