About the Author

Tracy Dorr

Tracy Dorr is a photographer, writer and the co-owner of Capture Your Heart Portrait Studio. She is the author of four books - Advanced Wedding Photojournalism: Professional Techniques for Digital Photographers, Engagement Portraiture: Master Techniques for Digital Photographers, Props for Portrait Photography, and The Beautiful Wedding. (Amherst Media.)
She holds a Bachelor's degree in English and Photography from the State University of New York at Buffalo (UB)  and has been shooting professionally since 2003.  
She won three Awards of Excellence from the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International competition (WPPI.) She was a Master Class teacher at the WPPI convention in Las Vegas, in the MGM grand. 
  Her work has been published in numerous local wedding publications and is on display in a number of local businesses. Tracy's work has also been published in seven books in the 500 Poses series by Michelle Perkins, on the subjects of brides, men, couples, groups, full-length portraits, children and infants & toddlers.   Tracy was featured in Perkins' book How to Photograph Weddings, highlighting her aesthetic and point of view in an interview about her perspective on her craft.
