About the Author

Sarah Hwang is a Korean- American illustrator and picture book writer. She received her BFA in illustration from Maryland Institute College of Art. Moving to a foreign country at a young age, drawing and creating had become her way of communication and expression. Her goal as an illustrator and writer is to spread happiness and inspire creativity in children through her works. Her specialty is creating quirky and charming characters that can comfort and make people laugh. Sarah is inspired by the small details and joy of everyday life. She incorporates fun and humor in everything she creates. In addition, Sarah enjoys adding faces to just about anything, like a piece of Toast.
