Jade Gurss is a two-time New York Times best-selling author, and author of the book "BEAST," the story of the greatest secret in the history of the Indianapolis 500. His book, "In The Red" won a bronze medal from the 2013 Independent Publisher Book Awards and was nominated for the Motor Press Guild Dean Batchelor "Best of 2012" Award.With more than two decades in the industry, Gurss has been involved with a long list of motorsports sponsors and racing series. As a publicist, Gurss has represented Anheuser-Busch, Mercedes-Benz and many other major motorsports sponsors. In his work for Budweiser, Gurss was publicist for Dale Earnhardt Jr. from 1999 through the end of the 2007 season. Prior to forming fingerprint inc., Gurss was marketing and communications director for Ilmor Engineering, then the racing engine division of Mercedes-Benz. Most recently, Gurss was Director of Corporate Communication for Andretti Autosport and Andretti Sports Marketing. Gurss co-authored "Driver No. 8" with Earnhardt Jr., which became Amazon's top-selling sports book of 2002, and spent 17 weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list. Gurss also co-authored "DW!" with three-time NASCAR Champion and current Fox motorsports analyst Darrell Waltrip. Gurss was an adjunct professor in the University of North Carolina-Charlotte MBA program from 2008-2011. A native of Topeka, Kansas, Gurss resides in the Charlotte, NC area.
