About the Author

Mary Potter Kenyon

Mary Potter Kenyon graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a B.A. in Psychology. She is a certified grief counselor and Senior Services librarian at James Kennedy public library in Dyersville, Iowa. She is widely published in magazines, newspapers, and anthologies. An essay of hers was featured in the January/February 2013 issue of "Poets & Writers" magazine. Mary conducts couponing and writing workshops for local libraries, community colleges and women's groups and does public speaking on the subjects of writing, utilizing your talents in your everyday life, and finding hope in the darkness of loss. She is the author of five Familius titles: "Coupon Crazy: The Science, the Savings, and the Stories Behind America's Extreme Obsession," "Chemo-Therapist: How Cancer Cured a Marriage," "Refined By Fire: A Journey of Grief and Grace," "Mary & Me: A Lasting Link Through Ink," with co-writer Mary Jedlicka Humston, and an upcoming grief journal that will be published in early 2018.
