Rachel M. Harper is the author of two novels, THIS SIDE OF PROVIDENCE and BRASS ANKLE BLUES, along with several screenplays and short stories. She has received fellowships from The Corporation of Yaddo, the MacDowell Colony, and the R.I. State Council on the Arts. Raised in Providence, R.I., she has also lived in Minnesota, New York, and Alabama. She currently resides in Los Angeles and is on the faculty at Spalding University's low-residency MFA in Writing Program.
