I'm the author of three novels, Outlawed (forthcoming in 2021) , America Pacifica and The Life and Death of Sophie Stark. I'm also a senior reporter at Vox. Previously, I was a writer and editor at the New York Times, Salon, BuzzFeed and Jezebel. I graduated from the Iowa Writers' Workshop in 2009. I grew up in Los Angeles and now I live in Brooklyn.
