About the Author

Isaac Butler's theater director work has been presented at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Public Theater, New York's Town Hall and elsewhere. He holds an MFA in creative nonfiction from the University of Minnesota, and his writing has appeared in The Guardian, Slate, Pacific Standard, American Theatre, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and other publications.
