About the Author

Bryce Stevens

A lifelong Washingtonian, Bryce Stevens grew up in the Yakima area, graduated from the University of Washington, and has lived in Seattle ever since. He has thoroughly explored the Cascade Range, the Olympic Mountains, and the lowlands of Puget Sound, all while hiking, backpacking, climbing, mountain biking, motorcycling, backcountry snowboarding, and sea kayaking. He discovered his love of outdoor photography while canyoneering in southeastern Utah and has returned to the spectacular region every year since. In 1999 he co-founded Trails.com, the leading trail-information resource online. Bryce lives in the Maple Leaf neighborhood of Seattle with his wife and their two sons.
