Ellen is the instructor of the online class "Crocheting With Beads" found at AnniesCatalog.com She has been interviewed on the television show, Knit and Crochet Now! In 2008, Ellen was voted the Best Crochet Designer of Home Décor by the Crochet Liberation Front. From there, her fondest crochet memory is crocheting a blanket with her mother for her grandmother's birthday. Ellen can't remember exactly who taught her to crochet but believes that it seeped into her consciousness from an early age from her Great Aunt, Tanta Margaret, who resided next door.Ellen abandoned crochet as a teenager only to pick it back up again while in Graduate School at the University of Cincinnati. She has crocheted obsessively ever since, stitching more than 80 afghans before beginning her design career in 2004.When not crocheting, Ellen enjoys reading, knitting, jogging and chocolate cake. Ellen lives in Ohio with her husband Tom and their two children.
