About the Author

Kathleen Bryant

In a leap of faith, Kathleen Bryant quit her job writing software manuals and, not long afterward, sold her first novel to Silhouette Books. In 1990 ROMANTIC TIMES magazine named her Best New Romantic Suspense Author. A former Midwestern farm girl, she published five romances before beginning to romance the West. Her experiences hiking, exploring backcountry roads, and lending a hand at archaeological sites were featured in Arizona Highways, Sunset, and other magazines. She has written travel guides and books about the Sonoran Desert, Grand Canyon, and beyond. Her children's tale, KOKOPELLI'S GIFT (2002) , was named book of the year by ForeWord magazine and recognized by the Arizona Humanities Council.

Today, Kathleen lives in California, where she continues to write and seek out new adventures, finding them on hiking trails, at farmers markets, and between the covers of a good book. Her motto: Romance your life.
