About the Author

Jane Danley Cruz

I have always loved jewelry. I love to make jewelry, give jewelry to my friends, donate handmade jewelry for charity auctions, and I love to teach others to make jewelry.

What initially started as a means to an end (making something to wear with a particular outfit) , took off like a wildfire and became so much more than a hobby for me - it's a passion!

In 2010, I quit my job in real estate development in Chicago and moved to Wisconsin to work as Associate Editor for Bead & Button Magazine. For the next several years I also worked on BeadStyle Magazine and Wirework Magazine which only fed the fire of my jewelry obsession.

Even though I am now working in healthcare, I still make jewelry every chance I get!
