About the Author

Judy Freyer Thompson

I was born and raised on a farm in Vermont. In 1999 I met my husband, in 2003 we welcomed a beautiful daughter into our lives. We moved to CT and I began to string beads. Not satisfied with that for long, I went on to working with metal and plastics. 99% self taught, I made my magazine article debut in 2008. A few gallery shows followed, as well as two more magazine articles. Being included in a compilation book, Copper Jewelry Collection was a great accomplishment. The next accomplishment was writing Simple Metalwork Jewelry. Special thanks to Kalmbach Books and their awesome team, and especially my editor Dianne Wheeler. On a lighter note, I love my family, creating, clouds and animals.
