Dimitri Syrkin-Nikolau

Dimitri Syrkin-Nikolau was born in Salt Lake City, grew up in Iowa, went to college in Wisconsin, but was raised in the world. Committed to changing the way small business works, he currently resides in Chicago, IL where he runs and manages Dimo's Pizza. Dimo's is a 2 unit, 50 person operation that is powered by servant leadership and the triple bottom line. It is a concept dedicated to utilizing the efficiencies of for-profit enterprise to power non-profit ideals, specifically art, education, and bicycle advocacy. Syrkin-Nikolau is the author of Revolutionary Pizza, a cookbook based on popular recipes and pizza creations from Dimo's menu. As part of his long-term plans, Syrkin-Nikolau is working to make a company that will help create jobs with upward mobility, encourage long-term strategic thinking, and promote and advocate for the ideals of a functioning democratic society, namely equality, education and the right to prosper. These purposes have manifested themselves in Dimo's Pizza's mission: We create smart long-lasting businesses in urban environments that generate products, jobs and services for the communities they exist within.
