About this item

Moving Stretch is an effective, powerful, and enjoyable type of resistance stretching that not only strengthens and frees the body, but reconditions the body's fascia, rejuvenates the tissue, releases adhesions, relieves pain, and increases flexibility. This accessible guide gives step-by-step instructions for people who feel tight or older than they should, people with poor posture, athletes who want to boost their performance, and those who want something more than conventional stretching. This book provides you with many different stretches for the whole body including the hands and feet, as well as routines for specific goals such as improving posture, helping office workers stay healthy, stretching the back, and more. Even those with sedentary lives will see and feel a difference, with just 10-20 minutes of stretching yielding benefits that may last the whole day.

About the Author

Suzanne Wylde

Suzanne Wylde is an author, lecturer, acupuncturist, stretching trainer and general self-development enthusiast.

She is the creator of Moving Stretch, a method of resistance stretching designed to be accessible and self-tailoring to each individual. She created this out of her combined experience of working as a therapist and resistance stretching trainer (on a wide variety of issues including pain, reduced mobility, poor posture, misalignment, fatigue, sports injuries and more) , after seeing a need for a simple and accessible method which people with a wide variety of physical needs and body types could use.

The theory is that it works on the fascia, reconditioning it, making it healthier and more youthful and supple. People often find that it greatly helps their posture, freedom of movement, energy levels and performance. As it is both a method of self-stretching as well as assisted stretching, you can do the former at home, in a class, with online videos or the book, and the latter with a certified trainer.

Suzanne runs teacher training courses, workshops and offers 1-on-1 assisted stretching sessions in Moving Stretch and is the author of Moving Stretch: Work Your Fascia to Free Your Body, which shows people how they can self-stretch at home.

She has been practicing for over 10 years, having worked both privately and for the NHS (national health service in Britain) , with athletes and coach potatoes and likes the variety of working with different groups of people. Suzanne also trains a wide variety of people, including osteopaths, bodyworkers, yoga practitioners and other therapists. She enjoys working in a holistic, practical and problem-solving way, working with people to find the best solution for them.

See her website www.movingstretch.com for more information on her work.
