Albert Flynn DeSilver

Albert Flynn DeSilver is an American poet, memoirist, novelist, speaker, and workshop leader. He is the author of several books of poems, the memoir "Beamish Boy," and "Writing as a Path to Awakening" (Sounds True, 2017) . Albert received an MFA in Photography/New Genres from the San Francisco Art Institute. He worked as a California Poet in the Schools for many years and served as poet laureate of Marin County, California from 2008-2010. He has shared the stage and presented with U. S Poet Laureate Kay Ryan, bestselling authors' Maxine Hong Kingston, Cheryl Strayed, Elizabeth Gilbert, and many others. Albert is also a meditation teacher at Spirit Rock and speaks at writing conferences nationally.
