About the Author
Hi! I'm an associate professor of history at Georgia State University, in Atlanta. Previously I've taught in the Committee on Degrees in History and Literature at Harvard, and I earned my PhD from Columbia University. Currently, I'm mulling over two separate projects: One is on the history of New York City in the 1970s and 1980s, and the other is on "The Big Book" (the basic text of Alcoholics Anonymous) .
