About the Author
Lucinda is a knitwear designer-maker, tutor and author of ten knitting and crochet books. She lives on the south English coast and works from the home she shares with her partner, illustrator and graphic designer Francois Hall (who is behind all the funny and wonderful illustrations in her children's books) . Warmth, colour and humour are vital elements in Lucinda's work, and her designs are a delightful blend of quirky and sweet motifs for children, and more traditional, folk inspired designs for adults. She currently specialises in Northern, Scandinavian and Baltic hand knitting, nålbindning and crochet techniques and enjoys traveling to research the knitting and textile cultures, yarn and folk history of these areas. Lucinda's latest book Kids Learn to Stitch is the third in the hugely popular Kids Learn to series created in collaboration with Francois Hall, that includes Kids Learn to Knit and Kids Learn to Crochet, both of which continue to receive fabulous reviews.
