(Proverbs 15:30, ESV) The theme and address for my first blogging endeavors came from this phrase: "refreshes the bones." I want to be a deep encouragement... to watch people experience the bone-refreshing joy of life in communion with God... a living, dynamic relationship made possible through the finished work of Jesus Christ on Calvary.Big-picture stuff... 40-plus years as pastor/missionary in Latin America compelled me to look more and more for genuinely universal truth, stripped of tradition and nationalistic idiosyncrasies. I feel more like a citizen of the world... but really I am a citizen of heaven."But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ," (Philippians 3:20, ESV) I now live in the Pacific Northwest with my wife, Carol. We married in October, 2018. We share in common the loss of our first spouses to prolonged illnesses. We also share an appreciation for missionary life... I and my family lived in Central America and Mexico, Carol and her family lived and served in Japan. Having finally published one book, I am working now on the next. It will be based on my vision, philosophy, and experiences as a Gospel kingdom worker in other countries.Since I am bilingual, I have material to organize into a book in Spanish. This material would, of course, be more pastoral in tone. Hopefully, I can publish it in a bilingual format... Spanish-English.
