Robert Arellano is the author of six novels. Akashic Books publishes (2009, Edgar Award finalist 2010) , and (2012) . Soft Skull/Counterpoint published a graphic-novel tribute to Mexican comic books, (2008, writing as Eddy Arellano with artists William Schaff, Richard Schuler, & Alec Thibodeau) . In 1996, writing as , Arellano created the Internet's first interactive novel, . Arellano has taught writing, literature, and digital media at Brown University, the Rhode Island School of Design, the Institute of American Indian Arts, the University of New Mexico, and Southern Oregon University.
