About the Author

Pat Pease

Pat Pease is a fiber artist from Bend, Oregon. After the trauma of a 7th grade Home Economics sewing class, she vowed to never sew again. The influence of all the other quilters in Central Oregon inspired her to give her old sewing machine one more chance, and she decided that as long as she wasn't forced to make clothing, it wasn't so difficult. She is now on her third sewing machine and finds that they really can be a useful tools.
Most of her colorful contemporary quilts are some manner of string-piecing. Modern Japanese fabrics often find their way into these works, along with fabrics from her special weird-color collection.
