Stepfanie Romine is a writer, yoga teacher, and health coach. With degrees in French and journalism from Ohio University, Romine began her career working in newspapers, where she did stints as a copy editor, business reporter, and columnist focusing on work-life balance.

After spending a year teaching English in South Korea and later taking up Ashtanga yoga, she decided to turn her passion for natural health and wellness into a career. For several years, she was the editorial director for a large online healthy living community. She is now a copywriter and recipe developer for an herbal products manufacturer, and she shares simple plant-based recipes on TheFlexibleKitchen.com and around the web.

An Ashtanga vinyasa yoga teacher since 2009, Romine is also a health coach (certified through the American Council on Exercise) and has completed courses in herbal supplements and holistic and integrative nutrition. She enjoys trail runs and long hikes with her husband, Sam, and is training for her fifth half-marathon.

She has contributed to several best-selling books on healthy living. Her second book has been named to the "U.S. News & World Report: Best Diets" list since 2014.

Romine now works in marketing and education for Gaia Herbs.

In 2012, she and Sam moved to the mountains of North Carolina to prioritize their commitment to a healthy, active lifestyle. They have three rambunctious rescue cats: Dizzy, Charlie, and Wendy.
