About the Author

Steven Schneider

Steven Schneider was born in The Bronx, New York and grew up where the Cross Bronx Expressway is now. For forty-five years he taught elementary and secondary education in the New York City schools and in suburban New York districts. His first book, "How Parents Can Help Kids Improve Test Scores-Taking the Stakes Out of Literacy Testing," was successful in enabling parents to assist their children with expert ideas, suggestions, activities, and critical strategies for improving their child's reading and writing abilities as well as to strengthen their acumen in preparing them for taking their annual state standardized literacy tests. A second edition to this work has been recently published with more strategies and updated information for parents and teachers. Steve currently teaches at Rockland Community College in Rockland County, New York, where he resides.
