Susan Swain

Susan Swain is C-SPAN's co-CEO. A thirty year veteran of the cable public affairs channel, she integrates her management role at the network with that of on-camera interviewer, sitting down with presidents and first ladies, members of Congress, Supreme Court justices, historians, and political journalists. During 2013-14, she was the host of C-SPAN's special biography series, "First Ladies," which is the basis for the latest C-SPAN book project, "First Ladies: Presidential Historians on the Lives of 45 Iconic Women." This is the ninth book project Susan has led, working with PublicAffairs; past titles have included "The Supreme Court," and "Abraham Lincoln." Each book is a special collection of C-SPAN interviews edited to retain the unique and personal perspectives of their featured subjects.
