About this item
Jan Mundo has been healing headaches for more than forty-five years. Initially she didn't know how she did this; she only knew that if someone told her they had a headache, she could place her hands on their head, feel the pain, and stop it. Eventually she decided to leave her career in advertising and devote herself to learning how she was accomplishing this healing and, more importantly, how she could teach sufferers to heal themselves. The result is the powerful, personalized, and multifaceted method she shares here. Mundo helps readers discover the triggers and patterns that perpetuate their headaches, erase these underlying causes, and access their full power to heal not only their headaches but also the life conditions that invite them. In her caring and compassionate voice, she makes her techniques accessible to both occasional headache sufferers and those who have long felt misunderstood and misdiagnosed.
About the Author
Jan Mundo
Jan Mundo didn't plan to become a headache healer, but in 1970 she learned to relieve headaches with her hands. From then on, everyone gravitated to Jan when they were suffering, and she would stop their pain. In The Headache Healer's Handbook, which she wrote and illustrated, Jan shares her comprehensive mind-body self-care pain relief and prevention program for the first time. As one of her clients expressed, "After thirty years of struggle, I feel as if I have a new lease on life." A certified Master Somatic Coach and massage therapist with advanced training in multiple modalities, she sees private clients and holds programs at medical centers, universities, corporations, and conferences. Her writing is also published in the anthology Being Human at Work, Massage Magazine, Massage and Bodywork Magazine, Journal Cephalalgia, Spiritual Midwifery, and The Farm Vegetarian Cookbook (contributing editor) .
