Kathreen Ricketson was the founder of WhipUp.net, the online handcraft hub, and Action-pack.com - an e-magazine for kids who want to do stuff. Her work has been featured on popular craft blogs such as Design*Sponge and Craftzine. She is the author or editor of eight books, including the Kids' Crafternoon series, Whip Up Mini Quilts, Little Bits Quilting Bee, and Brave New Quilts. She died in May 2013.
