Emily K. Neuburger

Emily Neuburger is an artist, writer, and teacher with a particular interest in imperfection and artistic experimentation. She is the author of the award winning book Show Me a Story (Storey 2012) and Journal Sparks (Storey 2017) . Emily has been teaching for over sixteen years. After receiving her M.A.T. in English from Smith College, she taught at two Massachusetts high schools. It was there that she found her passion for encouraging people to get pumped about creativity. Throughout her career, she's been especially interested in how art intersects with writing, and how both nurture people's capacity to imagine. She is a contributor to FamilyFun Magazine and authored their Everyday Fun blog on Parents.com, and she teaches workshops nationwide at museums, schools, and libraries. Emily lives in beautiful Western Massachusetts where she loves to go on mystery walks with her husband and three children.
