About this item

"The Essential Job Interview Handbook is a realistic guide that gives every jobseeker all the tools, skills, and answers you will need to impress any potential employer and rise above the competition."--Ron Fry, best-selling author of 101 Great Answers to the Toughest Interview Questions"Jean Baur, a consultant with LHH for the past 16 years, provides an intelligent guide to one of the most critical parts of the job search process: interviewing."--Barbara T. Barra, executive vice president, U.S. Operations, Lee Hecht HarrisonEven with a fairly detailed job description or a briefing by a knowledgeable recruiter, job candidates rarely have all the tools they need to ace their interviews. This is one of the reasons why interviews are so harrowing--we have to pay close attention to what we're told, what we're not told, and the many non-verbal signals we receive.

About the Author

Jean Baur

Jean is an author and speaker and is very excited about her new book about her therapy dog, Bella. It's nonfiction and takes the reader into the daily miracles that happen when therapy dogs connect with hospital and nursing home patients as well as special needs children in schools. Written in alternating chapters, you get to see how this unlikely therapy dog made it from Dead Dog Beach in Puerto Rico to a successful working dog, and the strong bonds she and Jean develop with the people they meet. It's an amazing journey.

Jean is also a dynamic speaker who knows how to inspire audiences to maximize their potential. She draws on her diverse background as an author and career coach to reveal the symptoms and causes of burnout, empower her audiences to be the "boss" of their own lives and careers, and help them realize there are always choices.
