Joe Proulx grew up on the hockey rinks of Southern New Hampshire, playing organized hockey from age four up through college. After years of building backyard rinks for his family, he founded Backyard-Hockey.com, which has grown to become one of the most popular backyard rink and pond hockey websites on the internet. In the fall of 2011, Joe and his wife launched Elite Backyard Rinks, a parts distributor and installer of backyard rinks. To date, he has built more than 90 backyard rinks for families throughout New England. He lives in Bedford, New Hampshire, with his wife and three children.
