Mara Lecocq is the founder and co-author, and Nathan Archambault is the writer and co-author of Rox's Secret Code. Mara is an entrepreneur with a mission to bring diversity to male-dominated industries by making them fun and relatable to girls of all ethnicities in their formative years--through projects that bring together technology and creativity.Formerly a creative director in advertising and technology, Mara was one of the only female leaders in her field to create digital products and campaigns for brands like Nike, Starbucks and Verizon.Realizing that ambition starts young--studies showing that stereotypes have an impact on children's aspirations before the age of 6--Mara decided to found Secret Code. It's a customizable children's media brand that stars girls as heroes of powerful industries, with stories customized to their name and their appearance. Secret Code won a grant by Sophia Amoruso's Girlboss Foundation and a spot at the startup pitch competition Project Entrepreneur, by the Rent The Runway Foundation. Nathan Archambault joined the team as the writer, and both created Rox's Secret Code, their first published book that comes with its own AR coding game.They want to redefine the robot engineer role model for girls and boys, and take inspiration into action by teaching coding principles off the book.
