About the Author
Walt Crawford (1945- ) was a library systems analyst and programmer during five decades, and has been writing about library, technology and access issues since 1976 (articles) or 1984 (books) . His current research interests include open access (OA) , as well as various areas of libraries, media, technology and policy. His free ejournal, Cites & Insights, is now in its 16th year.
