Debra Landwehr Engle

Debra Landwehr Engle grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, and now lives in rural Winterset, Iowa, home of the famed bridges of Madison County. A freelance writer for many years, her initial publishing credits appeared in such magazines as "Country Home," "Country Gardens" and "Better Homes and Gardens."Her first book, "Grace from the Garden: Changing the World One Garden at a Time," was published in 2003. Since then, she has contributed to several international collections of essays. Her book "The Only Little Prayer You Need: The Shortest Route to a Life of Joy, Abundance and Peace of Mind"--featuring a foreword by the Dalai Lama--was released October 1, 2014. "Let Your Spirit Guides Speak" winner of a silver Nautilus Award recognizing "Better books for a better world," was released September 1, 2016. "Be the Light that You Are" will be released April 1, 2019. And Debra's first novel, "Twenty," will debut January 28, 2020. Debra teaches classes in "A Course in Miracles" and writes a blog called "Everyday Miracles" at patheos.com. Debra is on the faculty of the Omega Institute and conducts workshops worldwide.
