About the Author

Terrance Zepke

Terrance Zepke is an award-winning and best-selling author of fifty books. She studied Journalism at the University of Tennessee and later received a Masters in Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina. She also studied parapsychology at the renowned Rhine Research Center. Zepke spends much of her time happily traveling around the world but always returns home to the Carolinas where she lives part-time in both states. She is a travel writer, blogger, and host of Terrance Talks Travel: Uber Adventures. Zepke is in demand as a speaker and has been featured in most major media, such as NPR, CNN, The Washington Post, PBS, Associated Press, Travel with Rick Steves, Around the World, Publishers Weekly, World Travel & Dining with Pierre Wolfe, Good Morning Show, The Learning Channel, and The Travel Channel.

When she's not investigating haunted places, trying to find pirate treasure, or climbing lighthouses, she is most likely packing for her next adventure to some far flung place, such as Reykjavik or Kwazulu Natal. Some of her favorite adventures include piranha fishing on the Amazon, shark cage diving in South Africa, hiking the Andes Mountains Inca Trail, a Bwindi gorilla safari, and dog-sledding in the Arctic Circle.

According to Zepke, her favorite haunted place is the Stanley Hotel and the creepiest overnight ghost investigation she ever did was the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. Her favorite island is Kiawah (SC) , her favorite city is London (England) , and favorite adventure destination is anywhere in eastern or southern Africa.
