Barbara Fifer

Barbara Fifer is an adoptive Montanan who lives in Helena. She majored in creative writing/comparative literature at Ohio University, while working college summers on a six-day daily newspaper. She has co-edited a scholarly historical journal; written for and edited book annotations, and produced catalogs for a library book-jobber; edited about a jillion magazine articles and published some, and (for 18 years) edited a few hundred books for Farcountry Press, while also captioning their all-photography books. Since 2003 she has freelanced as an author, editor, book producer, text designer, and indexer.
